CUSTOM BAG COMPONENTS · BUYER GUIDE
A useful zipper brief brings together the opening, chain, slider, puller and lining. Discuss the combination before sampling, then confirm the construction against the approved sample.

Mark the opening on a sketch or photo. Specify its position, whether it follows a corner, how many sliders you need and the items that must pass through it. Agree on finished opening and zipper measurement points; they may differ.
Discuss chain type and size, tape colour, visible or concealed appearance, slider direction and puller shape as one set. A size number alone does not prove that parts from different chains or suppliers fit together. Confirm compatibility and any separate decorative puller on the sample.
Show where lining, padding, pockets and binding meet the opening. Review clearance around the slider and how zipper ends are secured, especially at corners or thick joins. Check whether the lining catches and whether the opening moves smoothly.
Check colour, finish, measurement points, slider direction and puller attachment against your brief. Test operation with the intended contents; agree separately on any test method, acceptance criteria and quantities. A zipper alone does not establish that the finished bag is waterproof.
